The halt in U.S. air strikes against Iraq has lowered the likelihood of an immediate threat to Israel from Baghdad, Israeli intelligence officials said. Just the same, Israel continued to closely monitor the situation in the Persian Gulf, and the army called up several hundred reservists as part of the country’s continued preparedness measures.
