The High Priest of the tiny Samaritan community located in Mount Gerizim in the West Bank, Levi Ben-Avishai Ben-Pinhas, died at the age of 82. The community, which has followers in Israel, immediately named a successor, Yefet Shomroni, 79, who will assume the role following a 30-day mourning period.
