The Jewish Community Center of Jersey City established a record when $241,000 was raised for the completion of the new building in the drive just ended, lasting from November 11th to November 25th.

Dr. Philip R. Goldstein, of the Jewish Welfare Board, New York City, who directed the drive stated that it was unusual for a Community Center to raise so much money during a second drive, $235,000 having been solicited four years ago. The second response established a record in Jewish Community Center drives.

The success of the Building Completion Campaign will make possible the dedication in February of a structure, costing over $600,000, containing besides the place of worship an auditorium, class and club rooms, a lodge room, bowling alleys, billiard room, swimming pool and gymnasium.

Harry Goldowsky acted as Chairman of the drive, and Sidney Marcus as Executive Director.
