The leading U.S. Jewish women’s group recently awarded its first prize in children’s literature to the Israeli author of “Dark Secrets,” a book that focuses on the dark secrets held by three seventh graders and their teacher. The $10,000 prize to Dorit Orgad was presented by Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, in conjunction with the Haifa Foundation.
