The mayor of Tel Aviv said he is “very optimistic” about the future of Israeli-Palestinian relations. Speaking in New York on May 2 at a community news conference sponsored by the Tel Aviv Foundation, Ron Huldai said a Palestinian leader other than Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat may be able to “cross the line” for peace.
