The Nation magazine pulled ads from a Holocaust-denial group after staffers and Jewish organizations protested. The May 3 number of the left-wing weekly featured an ad for a book that calls the “Holocaust story” a historical myth. The Institute for Historical Review ad for the book, called “The Founding Myths of Modern Israel,” was scheduled to run for six issues.

A fervently Orthodox group says it’s prepared to provide benefits to same-sex couples rather than forego government funding. An official at Agudath Israel of America said the group’s social-service arm will continue to apply for government grants from New York City if the City Council passes a law next month requiring government-funded groups to provide equal benefits for same-sex partners, the Forward reported.
