The number of Jews serving in the U.S. House of Representatives will rise from 23 to at least 27. One Jewish incumbent, Sam Gejdenson (D-Conn.), lost his seat and five new Jewish representatives, four Democrats and one Republican, were elected in Tuesday’s races.
