The Shas Party came out against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s withdrawal plan. “This plan is absolutely illegitimate. It is forbidden to vote for it! It is imperative to vote against it,” the Shas spiritual mentor, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, said in his weekly sermon on Saturday. “If, God forbid, they uproot Jewish communities, who will come to take their place? The terrorists.”
