The Simon Wiesenthal Center urged France’s prime minister to prevent France Telecom’s “complicity” in broadcasting a Hezbollah TV station to Latin American and Asia. Shimon Samuels, the center’s director for international affairs, reminded Dominique de Villepin that in December 2004 a French court ruled that Al-Manar could not broadcast in Europe because of its anti-Semitic content.
