The umbrella organization representing most British Jews is complaining to a major British bookstore chain about a book-length comic on the West Bank and Gaza Strip. “Palestine,” based on artist Joe Sacco’s two months of travel in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the early 1990s, contains “unacceptable” references to both Jews and Israelis, said Neville Nagler, director general of the Board of Deputies.
