The United States wants Britain to shut down a charity believed to channel funds to Hamas. The Senate Banking Committee met Wednesday to examine a number of charities that fund Arab terrorist groups. Stuart Levey, a senior Treasury Department official, said one frustration was his failure to persuade the British to shut down Interpal, also known as the Palestinian Relief and Development Fund.
