The United States will mark Holocaust Remembrance Day this year on April 19, but some U.S. cities and states will mark it throughout the week of April 15- April 22. The U.S. Congress established the Days of Remembrance of the Holocaust in 1980, when it created the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council.
