Thousands of Israelis gathered at the Western Wall in Jerusalem to urge that Jonathan Pollard, who is serving a life sentence in the United States for spying for Israel, be freed. A crowd estimated at more than 4,000 took part Wednesday in a two-hour prayer service led by Mordechai Eliahu, a former Sephardi chief rabbi.
