TORONTO JEWRY’S EFFORT AT CENTRALIZED FUND-RAISING WILL BE LAUNCHED NOV. 7 WHEN THE NEWLY-ORGANIZED UNITED JEWISH WELFARE FUND OPENS A DRIVE FOR $170,000 FOR THE BENEFIT OF 25 LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, IT WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY. THE CAMPAIGN IS SPONSORED BY NINETEEN ORGANIZATIONS AND THE FUND IS AFFILIATED WITH THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH FEDERATIONS AND WELFARE FUNDS.
