See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

Many thousands of tourists have poured into Israel in recent days to observe the Passover holiday here. Hotels announced they were booked to capacity. Fully loaded planes have been landing at Lydda Airport on an around-the-clock basis. A single day’s record number of 1,222 tourists arrived on El Al planes today, for a total nearly 7,000 brought in by the airline for the holiday.

Food markets were reported adequately supplied, and prices very moderate. Special second seders have been arranged at luxury hotels as well as by the Zionist Organization of America at the ZOA House, and by the Histadrut, Israel’s Labor Federation.
