Two leading groups advocating strong gun-control laws have joined the American Jewish Congress’ effort to collect 1 million signatures on a petition urging Congress to pass tougher measures. Handgun Control Inc. and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence are backing the petition drive, launched after several attacks on Jews during the summer.
