The first all-world Yiddish Cultural Congress, called by the Jewish Scientific Institute, will open here August 14, it was announced today.
Delegates from all over the world, including the United States, are expected to participate. Prof. Salo Baron of Columbia University, Dr. Jacob Schatzky of New York and other leading American educators will represent the American section of the Institute at the Congress.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
