Contributions totaling over $65,000 towards the fund to build a campus for the Hebrew University Secondary School, an experimental high school in Jerusalem, were announced today by Mrs. Charles Hymes, president of the National Council of Jewish Women.
The amount already raised represents the result of initial efforts by the 240 sections of the Council towards the overall goal of $500,000 to be raised over a period of four years for the construction of classroom and laboratory buildings for 800 pupils. The selection of the site, adjacent to the campus of Hebrew University, and plans for the construction of the buildings were completed last fall.
