Ukraine said it will soon send a diplomatic mission to the Gaza Strip to develop economic and cultural ties between the former Soviet republic and the Palestinian Authority. The announcement came during a news conference held in Kiev by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Anatoly Zlenko and Palestinian minister Nabil Sha’ath. Sha’ath’s schedule includes meetings with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and other top officials.
