Ukrainian officials have held initial meetings with lawyers for families of the Israeli victims of October’s Siberian Air crash. All 78 passengers on board, including 66 Jews, died when a Ukrainian air force missile struck the plane by accident during army exercises near the Black Sea. The meeting is a prelude to negotiations on compensation.
