Detectives sought today the vandals who damaged the Rosedale Jewish Center in Gueens, N.Y., which offered a reward of $1,000 for information leading to their arrest.
The vandals smashed a cellar window to enter the building. A caretaker discovered the damage. The vandals tore sections of a Torah scroll, wrote obscene remarks on some pages, tore up a Bible, smashed open a showcase of religious articles from Israel and did other damage. They left behind several obscene notes.
