The Weizmann Forest of Argentina, located near Buenos Aires, was formally dedicated yesterday at a ceremony attended by Argentine Government leaders, including President Peron’s aide de camp, Israel Ambassador Dr. Arieh Kubovy and leaders of all major Jewish organizations.
A plaque was unveiled commemorating Israelis first President and a decree was read dedicating the forest to his memory and as a symbol of unity and friendship between the two countries. Dr. Carlos Vittone, director of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, paid tribute to Dr. Weizmann as a scientist, statesman and Jewish leader.
