The tenth anniversary of the start of the 1967 Six Day War was marked on the West Bank today with general strikes in Nablus and Ramallah and a partial strike in Hebron. In other West Bank villages a call for a strike was not observed and most West Bank workers went to their jobs as usual today.

Israeli troops and police were heavily re-enforced on the West Bank. In Nablus there were several incidents with tires being set on fire. Police detained several persons.

In Yamit, the new Jewish seaside city being built near Gaza, a memorial monument was unveiled in honor of the soldiers of the armored divisions who were killed in the Six Day War.
