The Greater New York junior division of the United Jewish Appeal will hold a cruise dance at the Hotel Astor on the evening of June17 in an effort to raise funds.
Sponsored by Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman, Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, Mrs. Henry Morgenthau and Mrs. Roger W. Straus, the dance is expected to have an attendance of more than 2,000 young men and women. The program, arranged in a nautical setting, will feature leading Broadway dramatic and musical comedy stars, according to an announcement by Miss Adele I. Springer and Maurice R. White book, co-chairmen of the dance committee.
The junior division of the United Jewish Appeal is participating actively in the drive for German Jewish relief. It is headed by Carlos L. Israels, chairman and Miss Leona C. Herrmann.
