Jesse Baar, chairman of the Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum ball, to be held April 6 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, announced last night that a young men’s committee has pledged to secure $5,000 worth of reservations toward the $50,000 goal.
The young men’s committee is headed by Barnett Jay Nova, young attorney and son of Kings County Judge Nova. The latter is president of the Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum.
