A conference of Jewish communities in Yugoslavia pledged today to continue to fight against any signs of anti-Semitism and praised the Yugoslav people and government for giving their fullest support to that struggle. The conference re-elected Lavoslav Kadelburg to another three-year term as president of the Yugoslavian Jewish communities. The popular weekly “Nin” reported five anti-Semitic incidents in its current issue. The paper condemned them. “Such things may happen elsewhere, in our country they cannot be tolerated,” the article said. The Jewish conference adopted resolutions asserting Yugoslavian Jewry’s solidarity with other Jewish communities all over the world. It approved reports on cultural activities, education, youth work, adult education and summer camp programs.
