Handwritten Einstein letter mocking Austria’s anti-Semitic policies up for auction

The famed physicist was responding to an article claiming that the Austrian government adopted anti-Semitic policies for the benefit its Jews.

The original iconic photo of Einstein sticking out his tongue at pursuing photographers came in second at $125,000.

The items – his Longines wristwatch, a compass, a 1938 Sudetenland Medal, two fountain pens, and a business card – were sold as a lot.
