Jacob Wassermann, whose “World’s Illusion”, is to be produced as a moving picture, was the guest of the Metro-Goldwyn Mayer studio, owners of the film rights of his novel.

The writer, who was accompanied by his wife, was entertained at luncheon by Irving G. Thalberg, studio executive; Paul Bern, head of the scenario department, and a number of studio officials.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer plans to produce “The World’s Illusion” on a lavish scale. Herr Wassermann is making a tour of the United States before returning to Europe to begin his next novel.
