M. Lapedatu, Minister of Public Instruction, returned today from his trip to Clausenburg and other cities in Transylvania where he went to inquire into the veracity of the reports of the anti-Jewish excesses. He was shocked, he stated, to observe that the reports were correct,
The government commission appointed to investigate the extent of the damages established that the damages resulting from the anti-Jewish excesses in Clausenburg alone amounted to 88,000,000 lei.
Mr. Gorst, British Vice-Consul here, visited the cities and towns where the excesses took place. He returned to day to Bucharest to submit a report to the British Embassy.
