Further testimony from the notebooks of Aba Achimeir, Revisionist extremist accused of the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, noted Zionist labor leader and head of the political department of the Jewish Agency, was read to the court at the resumption of the hearings in the case today. Accused with Achimeir are Zvi Rosenblatt and Abraham Stavsky.

Police Inspector Goffer read from Achimeir’s notebooks: “The Histadruth must be broken up forcibly. They are worse than the Arabs. “The Histadruth is the organization of Palestinian workers.

Another quotation read, “I wish that a million Polish Jews might be slaughtered. Then they might realize that they are living in a ghetto.” Under cross-examination by the accused, the witness admitted that the phrases might be quotations.

The second witness was police officer Shiff, who testified that when he arrested Stavsky, he noticed scratches on Stavsky’s thumb, which he said were probably caused by his attempt to get through the barbed wire fence surrounding the Arab cemetery near the scene of the murder. The scratches correspond with the prickers in the barbed wire. Stavsky immediately demanded that the court visit the cemetery and compare the wound marks with the barbed wire prickers. The magistrate agreed to this and adjourned the court until tomorrow.
