The singing of Hebrew hymns and melodies at Jewish cultural meetings in Germany has been forbidden, it was revealed here yesterday.
At the musical entertainment which followed a Jewish mass meeting here last night, one of the cantors who had volunteered to sing apologized for singing hymns only in German. He had been ordered by the government not to sin# in Hebrew save at religious services, he disclosed.
