Congregants of Emanuel Synagogue and Horace Bushnell Church will complete a year of exchange arrangements on baby-sitting when synagogue members provide that service to the church worshippers this coming Easter. The idea was originated at a synagogue PTA meeting and approved by Rev. Philip Ramstad and his congregation.
The idea was first tested last Easter when four women synagogue members provided nursery care for church members’ children so the adults could attend Easter services. Volunteers from the church later did baby-sitting for Jewish families during High Holy Day Services.
