100,000 Jews live in the cities, 48,000 in the small towns and about 8,000 in the villages of Lithuania, according to the census which has recently been completed. 172,803 Lithuanians live in the cities, 111,000 in the small towns and 1,147,000 in the villages.
The number of Poles in Lithuania is 16,620 and there are 13,459 Russians. If one takes into account the other nationalities, such as Germans, Lets, White Russians, etc., there live in the cities, altogether, 302,934 non-Lithuanians (15% of the entire population) and in the small towns 167,649 (more than 8%).
