The World Union of Progressive Judaism today announced the election of Chief Rabbi Dr. Leo Baeck, of Berlin, as president to succeed the late Dr. Claude J. Montefiore. Dr. Julian Morgenstern, president of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, has been elected American vice-president.
