The British Government agreed today to extradite Dr. Wladislaw Nehring, Polish war criminal, who, as Nazi-appointed chief surgeon at Oswiecim, is allegedly responsible for performing 18,000 “experimental operations” on the camp’s inmates, most of whom were Jewish women.
After the war, Nehring joined Gen. Anders’ Polish army in Italy and later arrived in England as an army physician. He was arrested in 1947 following publication of the U.N. War Commission list of un apprehended war criminals.He is wanted not only in Poland but also in France and Czechoslovakia.
