Dr. Karl Landauer, noted Jewish economist, who was exiled from Germany by the Nazi government, will fill a professorship for a year at the University of California, beginning next January.
The appointment was made last September but announcement was delayed until he had safely left Germany.
His appointment was made possible through the efforts of the emergency committee in aid of Germany displaced scholars, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Miss E. Oppen###heimer of San Francisco.
