Dr. Stephen S. Wise will arrive in Poland Friday on a week’s visit in behalf of the World Jewish Congress and to acquaint himself with the situation of the Jews, the American Jewish Congress reported. It is his first visit to Poland.
He will visit Jewish communities to ascertain their economic condition. A committee representing groups in Poland active for the world congress has arranged a reception for him. On July 19, two days after he leaves the country, the Jews will hold direct balloting for delegates to the congress. Dr. Wise will arrive in Vienna July 19, from where he will proceed to Rumania.
