Israel should still negotiate with the Palestinians despite the outbreak of violence, but talks should go along a different line, said Israel’s opposition leader. Likud Party head Ariel Sharon, appearing on a U.S. news show, insisted his visit to the Temple Mount on Sept. 28 did not start the rioting and said the failed Camp David summit in July caused “most of the difficulties.”
