This included a general emigration of 5,762; emigration to Palestine, 1,551, and Jews repatriated, 640.
Important aid to victims of pogroms in Poland through free loan institutions, which enable them to reestablish themselves, is reported to the J.D.C., which established and now aids with funds the system of 826 free loan institutions in Poland. Two of the scenes of the most destructive progroms in Poland during 1937, Minsk-Mazowiecki and Brest-Litevski, saw issuance of increased credits.
