A delegation representing the Hungarian Jewish community is expected to arrive in London January 17 for a visit as guests of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. The Hungarian delegation will include Andre Sos, chairman of the Central Board of Hungarian Jews; Rabbi Imre Benoschofsky, deputy Chief Rabbi of Hungary; and Dr. Geza Seifert, president of the Central Board.
The delegation will visit institutions here, attend a meeting of the Board of Deputies on January 20 and meet with leading Anglo-Jewish personalities. The visit has been announced as “totally non-commital” with no political aspects whatsoever. It is described simply as a courtesy visit from one Jewish community to another.
