Britain last night won the All-European Bible and Jewish Knowledge Quiz, conducted here by the Jewish National Fund. Youngsters, all under the age of 13, representing many countries, participated in the contest. The contestants had come from Britain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, France and other Western European countries.
The quiz was conducted in English, Dutch, French, German and Hebrew. The judges were Isidore Fishman, director of the London Board of Jewish Religious Education, and A. Leff, first secretary at the Israeli legation here. The winning team represented the school of the Alerton Hebrew Congregation at Liverpool.
