A memorial meeting was held here this weekend for Meir Grossman, veteran Zionist, journalist and one of the founders of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, who died at the end of June at the age of 76.
The meeting was sponsored by the London Bureau of the Jewish Agency, the Zionist Historical Committee, the Association of Jewish Writers and Journalists in Britain and the Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations. Speakers included S.J. Goldsmith, who spoke on behalf of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency; S.J. Harendorf, representing British Jewish journalists and writers; Joseph Leftwich, who spoke for the Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations, and others.
