Nine Israeli peace groups sent letters to leaders of the United States, United Nations and European Union urging them to step up their involvement in Middle East peacemaking. The groups — which included Peace Now, Rabbis for Human Rights and the women’s group Bat Shalom — blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the deadlocked Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.
