A special correspondent of The Jewish Chronicle reported today that Polish Jews in various parts of Europe were gravely concerned over “roaming Endekism”–the Endek, or National Democratic, refugees spreading violent anti-Jewish propaganda in Rumania, Hungary, France and even England.
Rumanian Jews complain that Endeks spread anti-Semitism in places where Jews have hitherto lived in peace, the correspondent said. Anti-Jewish feeling was said to be particularly high in Hungarian camps for interned Polish soldiers. Jewish refugees in Rumania, Hungary and Lithuania were reported to be complaining that they were not receiving the same relief as non-Jews.
