The official organ of the Soviet Army, Red Star, has published a severe condemnation of Israel accusing it of “a premeditated provocation” of its neighbors in the Syrian border troubles last week.
An unsigned article in the army organ on Friday bitterly lashed Premier David Ben-Gurion and his associates in the Israeli Government, asserting that they were under the influence of a “war psychosis.”
The paper said that “everybody, these days, believes that all differences must be settled through negotiation, and not by force. Only the head of the Israeli Government has a different opinion. Such stubbornness is dangerous mainly for Israel which should have ceased its provocations long ago.”
