Chief Rabbi Dr. Isaac Jacob Niemirover, the representative of the Jewish Faith in the Roumanian Senate, will be 60 on February 28th., and a committee has been formed of representatives of the Federation of Jewish Communities of old Roumania, the Bucharest Jewish Community, the Federation of Sephardic Communities, the Order B’nai B’rith, the Union of Roumanian Jews, the Zionist Organisation, and the Union of Jewish Women, to arrange for a celebration on a fitting scale.
The Roumanian Society for Promoting Jewish Learning will also publish a Niemirover Volume, containing contributions by prominent Jewish scholars.
