V.N. Sorokin, second secretary of the Soviet Embassy in The Hague, has refused to accept a resolution from Rabbi Abraham Soetendorp asking the Soviet Union to permit its Jews freedom to develop their own culture and pass on their traditions to their children, according to reports received here. The resolution had been adopted Passover Eve at a meeting of 2400 Jews and non-Jews in the Old Sephardic Synagogue in Amsterdam, Mr. Sorokin declared that the Soviet Union did not discriminate against any of its citizens, including Jews. The resolution also included pleas of Russian Jews to be allowed to reunite with their families in Israel and other countries. The event was sponsored by four Dutch Jewish congregations.
