Jewish newspapers in Palestine continued today to express indignation at proclamation of a legislative council by the Palestine Government. Davar, Zionist laborite daily, warned in an editorial against the “great danger” of the council.
The council “will not be able to kill our work,” the editorial states, “for no power can break it. We worked under the Turkish regime, during riots, under Lord Passfield (British colonial secretary in 1930 and 1931) and we will work under the regime of the legislative council.”
