Minister of Education Homan conferred yesterday with the Rector of the University of Budapest, deans of various faculties and representatives of student faculties in an effort to prevent a renewal of anti-Semitic disturbances.
Disturbances have been current at the University for the past two weeks and were renewed over the week-end at the University and the Technical High School, five Jewish students sustaining injuries.
Minister Homan informed representatives of the press that the school authorities and the student bodies have pledged themselves to maintain peace, thus obviating police intervention.
The Minister of Education made it known that police action will be taken against any agitators outside the schools who are guilty of anti-Semitic incitement.
