The Senate Judiciary Committee today favorably reported out a Senate joint resolution to authorize and require the President to designate April 23, 1963, as a day of observance of the courage displayed in the Warsaw Ghetto Jewish uprising against the Nazis.
It is expected that the resolution, sponsored by Sen. Kenneth B. Keating, New York Republican, will obtain early approval by the full Senate and the House.
